The first MSI Laptop GT70 broke after it was out of warranty so I sold it for $200 because something got broken inside the laptop and the repair was too expensive. I basically sold it for parts, and I lost a lot of money. Used laptops go for over $1000, but I had to sell it for $200. I don't remember the last time I lost so much money.

I thought well mistakes happen, MSI is such a big company, if I buy another MSI laptop it's not gonna break again. So being a fool I purchased the best MSI 17 inch laptop on the market MSI 72S.

What a mistake. After one year the hinge where the screen connects to the body got loose and it broke. Also, the screen started to flicker, shut down etc. I sent it to the local service here in my country and they completely messed it up. The guy never worked on gaming laptops like MSI GT 72S. He did not have any idea what's going on. And every smart guy would figure out that something is wrong with the cable that connects motherboard and screen.

So the idiot replaced the motherboard, graphic card, and screen at the same time. I was again without a laptop for two months. He had to order parts from China, can you imagine that. The MSI service in Europe is just a total disaster. They work with these local small Computer companies that have no idea how to repair complex gaming laptops like MSI GT 72S for example. They have no spare parts in stock, so they have to order them from China. 

After one month I received my laptop back, the screen was working for one day, and then the whole thing started to happen again. The screen was flickering nonstop, it suddenly shut off, or didn't turn on at all. I was so pissed. They just replaced almost every part of the laptop and the idiots didn't figure out that the problem might be in the cable.

So they send it back, this time the MSI instructed them to send it to Poland, where there is a central service center for Europe. And that takes time. It arrived there after one week. So you lose already two weeks to send and receive a laptop to Poland. I was raging. I used some old HP laptop that I bought 7 years ago, I was miserable. After one month I get it back and start using it again. It worked fine for a while but then suddenly just shut off and I couldn't turn it on anymore.

I was shocked, disgusted by MSI. I bought two laptops from them, which were super expensive, and they both broke down. I said I need to buy a new laptop, I can't take this anymore. I send the letter back to service and I went online to search for something that's available. First I wanted to buy ASUS gaming laptop but is too big. It does not fit in my luggage. Then I saw HP Omen 17 inch gaming laptop with I 7 6700 core processor and 1080 Nvidia graphics card. Read my review here.

I called MSI service, I waited more than two months for it to come back and I told them that they breached the warranty deal. If the product can be repaired in under two months here in my country, you can demand a full refund. So I did that. I got a full refund from Amazon. But here's another trick. I emailed MSI Poland to send me a refund for my laptop. They told me that I need to contact amazon.de to get a full refund. At the same time, the manager at MSI Poland told me that they already contacted Amazon to refund me. She said that they sent some kind of a refund code to Amazon directly.

Then I contacted Amazon again and told them what MSI just wrote me an email. I got a shocking reply from Amazon that they never received any code from MSI Poland. MSI Poland did not have any communication with Amazon too so that was weird. Amazon then told me that MSI should ship my broken laptop back to me so I can then send it directly to Amazon Germany and get a full refund.

I'm laughing right now, it was such a strange sad and funny situation at the same time. So I called MSI Poland again and asked them to send me back my laptop. They said no problem, but the laptop is somewhere in China. So it took like over one month that the laptop arrived back in my country and then I ship it directly to Amazon and I got a full refund. The whole process took over six months. I'm happy that I got a full refund. Currently, I'm really happy with my HP OMEN 17.

So this is a warning. MSI is producing a garbage quality laptops. Many many people complained about the monitor hinges, that they just broke after few months. Imagine paying over $2000 for a gaming laptop and you get a laptop that is not worth more than hundred dollars. I want to go back to MSI, to buy another laptop, because of the design, good cooling system, great keyboard, great monitor but having to faulty laptops scares the shit out of me.

Do not buy a laptop from MSI, I will never do it again. I lost so much time, I had to use 7 years old laptop as a replacement. Currently, I own HP OMEN 17 and works just fine without any problems.
